Bath Habit started from a personal need to make bath products for my own overly-sensitive skin. For years I struggled with itchy, cracked elbows, hives as a result of perfumes and dyes and severe annoyance over never fully knowing what was in the products I used.

I had tried using top brands of unscented bar soaps, but even without scents and dyes; my skin was still itchy and painfully dry. I sought remedies from local soap makers, but found most did not use 100% essential oils and many relied on glycerin to cheaply produce their bars of soap. My next stop was a major health food retailer, but even if their soaps were the answers, their high prices made buying their products unrealistic.

Things culminated in 2011, after years of visiting dermatologists, allergists and being misdiagnosed and medicated for non-existent skin maladies. I had enough of trying to navigate my way through buying bar soaps I could comfortably shower with, laundry detergent that I could do wash with and bath soaps I could enjoy a soak in.

In 2011, Jason, with his passion for homeopathic remedies decided we would make our own bar soap. It was a big personal success and for the first time in years and years, my skin was happy and glowing, not itching, red, burning and dry. While we kept most of the bars for personal use, we shared some with family and friends, too. Everyone had rave reviews about our bar soap and requests for more started to come in. From this first batch, Bath Habit was born.

We got excited and soon after our bar soap success made wonderful laundry detergent, bath bombs, cuticle cream and body butter. My skin was in heaven and the itchiness and burning stopped almost immediately.

It’s been nearly a year since I began using our own creations exclusively on my skin, and I have had none of the painful symptoms from before. My skin is happy, healthy and glowing. Even more exciting is that Jason and I have found we have a passion for making these products and decided to make a real business out of it so we could share our success and skin irritation relief with others.

At Bath Habit, we disclose every single ingredient we use on each of our products and sell them at affordable prices. Healthy skin should not be reserved for only those who have a ton of money to spend. We use only natural and organic products and never use any fillers, synthetic perfumes or dyes. Every single product we make is handcrafted in the USA, using the best quality ingredients we can buy.

As strong supporters of the United States military, 5% of all proceeds will be donated to military-related charitable causes.
