| Fox Hill SoapsP.O. Box 99 Contact: Katrina Bell Member since 2008. "Anything worth having is worth waiting for." This is certainly true with Fox Hill Handmade Soaps. Our unique soaps are still handmade on the grounds of Historic Fox Hill Plantation circa 1830, located in Furman, Alabama in the heart of the renowned "Blackbelt" region of Alabama. Each aromatherapy bar is a sensory delight and takes nearly a month to create. We begin with small batches of special blends of all natural and organic ingredients. This includes food grade oils of olive, coconut, canola, castor and organic palm oil, all natural essential oils and herbs that are plant-derived as well as "from the earth" mineral pigments. These ingredients are softly turned into soap and glycerin (saponified). We leave the glycerin in our soaps to provide extra moisture (the large soap companies take out the glycerin and sell it for other products). We then pour the batch into our special wooden molds to harden. Once ready, we wire-cut each bar by hand and allow the bars to dry for nearly 30 days. It is through our faithfulness to our Southern Tradition of making the highest quality handmade soaps that we can call them Fox Hill Soaps. We produce a full line of soaps, lotions and lip butters.
