2013 Conference
The HSMG Annual Conference is the largest event in the handcrafted soap industry. Normally held in late spring, it runs for three days and is open to both members and non-members. The location changes each year, cycling through eight regions in the United States, which makes it accessible and affordable, no matter where you are located.
As the largest and longest-running handcrafted soap and cosmetics event, it provides a spectacular opportunity for suppliers to introduce their businesses and products to potential customers.

The Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild is the only international non-profit trade association serving the handcrafted soap industry. The mission of the HSMG is:
- to promote the handcrafted soap industry;
- to act as a center of communication among soap makers;
- to circulate information beneficial to soap makers.
Membership is open to all soapmakers anywhere in the world who make any type of handcrafted soap, as well as to the vendors who provide products and/or services to the handcrafted soap industry.
Benefits for vendors and suppliers are geared toward assisting vendors in gaining exposure to soapmakers and providing ways for vendors/suppliers to inform and educate soapmakers about new or existing products or services.
By facilitating improved communication between vendors and soapmakers, the HSMG provides another avenue by which soapmakers can keep abreast of new technical developments in the industry and can take advantage of members' only special offers.
Members can take pride in the fact that their membership strengthens the industry as a whole, and be confident that the dues are being used to promote, protect, defend and support the handcrafted soap industry in accordance with non-profit regulations.
