Unlike large industrial soap makers, we never remove an ounce of that skin-loving glycerin that’s the love child of natural oils and lye. We craft our soap recipes to give you a balance of good clean fun, rich lather, and long-lasting beauty. The end product feels almost as hard as marble, but will leave even the most sensitive skin feeling supple, fresh, clean, and loved. 

And we are obsessed with quality. This doesn’t mean that every bar looks identical or that our soap never has minor scratches or size differences. No, we make this stuff by hand, from our hands to yours. What we mean by quality is researching and testing well-balanced soap recipes, carefully sourcing ingredients, and whipping them together with care to give you soap that works great and makes you notice it. My recipe is simple and clean, I use organic coconut oil, organic olive oil, goat milk and lye - plus colorants and essential or fragrance oils.

I also make fair-trade soy wax candles. I have both cement and glass vessels. My goal is to use the least amount of non-recyclable labels and packaging.

Soak is a woman-owned artisan home, bath and body company based in Bloomington, Indiana. I am a scientist by training and have a PhD in Genetics where I worked in cancer research.  After moving across the country, I transitioned out of the world of scientific research. But, after about a year, I found that I missed the bench science and the thinking that came with it. 

I found soap making in 2018. The process of formulating a soap recipe gave me an opportunity to stretch those old 'science' brain muscles, while also giving me a creative outlet. One of my favorite things about being a soaper is diving into the science.  The chemistry of the reactions that happen, the interactions that happen between the soap and our bodies, and everything else that comes with making 'good' soap. It is always interesting to find those ‘wives-tales’ have grounding in scientific fact. 

My creativity and artistic sense is constantly expanding, and I strive to continue to learn everyday, but trust that each soap that you find on this site has been designed by someone with over two decades of experience in scientific labs.

I love natural, homemade soap. I always have. I watched my mother make it on our small hobby farm in Michigan with home rendered tallow. I have enjoyed making soap and other beauty products occasionally throughout my life, and now do it for a purpose, not only for the fun of it.

Batholith Soaps was started with the intention to combine a love of geology with a love of creating. I use my background in geology to inspire my soap designs, as well as provide an opportunity to create a unique teaching tool. But, after about a year, I found that I missed the bench science and the thinking that came with it. 

I found soap making in 2018. The process of formulating a soap recipe gave me an opportunity to stretch those old 'science' brain muscles, while also giving me a creative outlet. One of my favorite things about being a soaper is diving into the science.  The chemistry of the reactions that happen, the interactions that happen between the soap and our bodies, and everything else that comes with making 'good' soap. It is always interesting to find those ‘wives-tales’ have grounding in scientific fact.

Carol Isler, an herbalist, and retired high school chemistry teacher, first got interested in making soap from scratch as a girl listening to the description of the process from her grandmother and great aunts. As a young mother, she witnessed an authentic soap making demonstration while on vacation in the Great Smokey Mountains, which rekindled the interest. She researched the process back before the internet was widely available to schools and developed a soap making lab for her chemistry students. Soon her creations developed a local following and she started Tygerheart in 2001. Clients with sensitive skin issues depend on Carol's traditional formulations to serve their bath and body needs. Ever the educator, she is dedicated to teaching interested individuals soap making and formulating skills in a hands-on workshop setting.

We are a small family owned & operated company that started in the fall of 2014 out of our home. We had a small booth at a local farmers market just north of Austin, Texas & soon after landed our first wholesale account.

In just a short time we moved our production from our laundry room to our guest room. We realized that we needed more space and were able to move into our first studio. A few months after moving we needed even more space.

What's the story behind Cast Iron Soaps? We want to raise the bar! Seeking out a tried + true, old fashioned soaping recipe, led my discovery that resourceful settlers utilized the available oils + fats on hand. Upon my quest, my mother + aunt providing insight in their soap acquisition. As my Czech grandmother would cook the animal fats + lye ash solution in a cast iron conundrum, black kettle, contained in the chicken coop. The directly heated ingredients had the potential to volcano over. Once the batter cooled + harden, my mother would cube out the individual bars. Hence, the rustic handcut shape our of present day soap.

Yello there! Here at The Releafery we are passionate about creating handmade products that are nourishing as well as eco-friendly.

When we learned about the nasty chemicals that are lurking in most bath and beauty aisles (and the ingredients that should be there, but aren't!), we set out on a mission to learn how to make moisturizing, nutrient-rich soaps and other products by hand. One of our goals in creating The Releafery is to get back to basics by using simple, natural ingredients that come straight from the earth. Our soaps, salves, lotions, lip balms, scrubs, and other goodies are made from all natural plant butters, pure essential oils, and other ingredients that are revitalizing for your body. We also carry an array of items made by other environmentally conscious creators!

Another reason The Releafery was born was to provide sustainable options for bath and beauty products as well as items for your kitchen and home. We're all aware of the waste problems our planet encounters, but it can be challenging to find sustainable solutions. We consider sustainability in every aspect of our business including packaging, ingredients, and shipping. The Releafery intends to make it easy for you to use low waste and zero waste products that you can feel good about.

About Our Products

Soap should be fun! We have crystal infused soap with water safe crystals, rock shaped soap that are custom made to look like various gems, crystals, and rocks. Make your special occasion unforgettable with soap that has a beautiful picture imbedded, or make your business stand out with a custom soap of your logo. As a beautiful compliment to the soap is the seed paper packaging. With a little dirt, some water, and our packing you can grow the beauty that is on the inside.

Handcrafted Goat Milk Soap made 'from scratch' with milk from our own dairy herd, high-quality vegetable oils and all-natural fragrance oils and/ essential oils. Hard, long-lasting bars lather well while moisturizing and softening the skin. Great for extremely sensitive skin and those with fragrance sensitivities.

Everyday North also offers Wood Wick Soy Candles in a wide variety of high-end, phthalate-free fragrances. 

Alkista Botanicals is rooted in the idea that you don’t have to go far from home to source great natural product ingredients for skincare.
