1. Hello, each soap at LuZunika headquarters are made by me in my humble home. I make sure I make each soap with thought,handcrafted with my own recipe's and I pick natural ingredients. I love Essential oils but once in a while I will use fragrance oil . My soaps are mainly Organic and vegan but I will put it in my description if I used local Lard or Tallow from the nearby farms. Each soap is made with love and respect of the Craft.

If you would like to develop a soap line as part of your brand, we recommend this option so that you will own your soap recipe as our recipes are proprietary. Recipe development starts at $600 and includes sample batches to test. Minimums are 144 soaps per scent. The recipe development charge is a one-time fee. 

Cost per bar depends on the ingredients you use. If you use all organic oils, specialty oils, expensive essential oils, etc. the cost will be higher. In general, these prices will reflect comparable wholesale pricing.

Frenchies’ was co-founded by Lou Demers and Matt Dubois. The name of our company is derived from Lou and Matt’s surnames of French-Canadian descent. I believe we can make the world a better place by reducing our consumption of single use plastics but we should never have to sacrifice quality to do so. My soaps are made the old fashioned way with all natural oils and butters, skin safe fragrances and colors and a whole lot of love.  

Along with soap for people I also make dish soap strong enough to clean your dirtiest lasagna pans, and colorful bath bombs, and lotion bars. Each product is made in small batches, goes through rigorous testing and is a labor of love.

In 2019, we added a solar array to the property.  Four poles rise thirty feet in the air, each supporting 15 panels.  With all that sun now, we have installed a tiered lavender garden with plants of five different species.  This is an organic venture, of course, and we also grow comfrey, chamomile and calendula in the sun, with goldenseal, ginseng, valerian and cohosh in the shady places of this eastern forest habitat. Our base oils still come from other places - sustainably harvested, fair trade and organic coconut oil, palm oil, olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butters and many other important plant oils.  We use herbs, oats, mineral pigments, clay, goat milk (from Olympia Farm in Guilford) and other naturally abundant materials in our products.

Back in 2008 we started by making soaps and soon found ourselves making creams for all types of skin, waterless skin therapies, scented oils and lip balms.  Our Jewelweed Juice treatments for poison ivy are as popular as our Bug Me Not skin sprays.

We believe that healthy living starts with abundant fresh air, a good connection to the earth and the natural world, regular exercise and smart food choices.
