2017 Transportation

Getting to the 2017 Conference is easy! Whether you are flying or driving (or flying and then driving) all the information you need to plan for smooth traveling is below.

Air Transportation

Las Vegas, Nevada's McCarren International Airport (LAS) is served by nearly ever major airlines and quite a few minor ones.  In addition to regular daily flights, you might find some smaller airlines have flights one-way on several days of the week, and the other way on different days and sometimes are quite a bit cheaper than the big airline companies.

Airport to Hotel

If you fly in, you have several options for getting from the airport to the Tropicana Hotel, where the Conference will be held.

Las Vegas Monorail ($5/single ride)

This is the most economical way to get to your hotel. Monorail travels from Sahara Ave to the MGM Grand, 7 days per week from 7am to 12am.  MGM Grand is located directly across from Tropicana Hotel.  Visit www.lvmonorail.com for rates and ticket prices.

Airport Shuttle ($12/one way)

Shuttles can cost less than $10 for Strip Hotels.  SuperShuttle operates from McCarron Airport to the Las Vegas strip.  You can prebook your ride by clicking here.  SuperShuttle offers a shared ride at this price that will make several stops at hotels in Las Vegas.  To secure a non-stop van for up to 5 passengers you can book one for $50/one way.

Super Shuttle has offered attendees of the 2017 Conference 10% off the published rates.  Use group code:  JKNNC when booking the shuttle on their website or by clicking here.

Super Shuttle has given the following instructions for picking up your ride at the airport:

Terminal 1: After collecting your luggage, exit the baggage claim area via Door 11 (behind Starbucks) and proceed right to the SuperShuttle ticket booth to speak with a uniformed Customer Service Representative.

Terminal 3: After collecting your luggage, proceed to the SuperShuttle ticket booth to speak with a uniformed Customer Service Representative. The SuperShuttle booth is located outside of Door 53, to the right of the baggage claim.

Taxi ($20/one way)

Taxi fares begin with an initial charge, then a per mile charge after that; taxis accept credit cards and cash.  You can hail a cab outside of ground transportation, be advised that the lines for cabs can sometimes be long but the line does move fairly quickly.

Limo ($35/hour)

You can rent a limo for as little as $35 an hour.  Cars are located outside of baggage claim or you can pre-book to save time and lock in a price.  We recommend pre-booking, you can do so by clicking here.

Car Rental

If you are planning to rent a car, there are several car rental agencies located at the airport, and you can make reservations in advance online or by phone.  Also consider making your car rental reservation with your airline reservation; sometimes you can get good discounts by packaging them together.
