2018 Transportation

Getting to the 2018 Conference is easy! Whether you are flying or driving (or flying and then driving) all the information you need to plan for smooth traveling is below.

Air Transportation

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) is served by nearly every major airline and quite a few minor ones.  In addition to regular daily flights, you might find some smaller airlines have flights one-way on several days of the week, and the other way on different days and sometimes are quite a bit cheaper than the big airline companies.

Airport to Hotel

If you fly in, you have several options for getting from the airport to the Westin Peachtree, where the Conference will be held.

MARTA ($2.50/one way)

This is the most economical way to get to your hotel. Upon arrival, you may take any northbound train from the baggage claim to Peachtree Center Station. When you depart, simply take any southbound train from Peachtree Center Station to the baggage claim. The Peachtree Center Station is located only one block walking distance from the hotel.

Uber ($12-$13/one way for an economy vehicle)

You can order an Uber to and from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport via the Uber app (available on Apple and Android devices). The price for your fare will depend on what option you choose, but if you choose the economy option, the price will be comparable or even a bit less than a standard taxi.

Taxi ($35-$40/one way)

Taxi fares begin with an initial charge, then a per mile charge after that; taxis accept credit cards and cash.  You can hail a cab outside of ground transportation at Hartsfield-Jackson International airport, be advised that the lines for cabs can sometimes be long but the line does move fairly quickly. Tip: make sure to ask your taxi driver if they accept credit cards before your ride begins!

Car Rental

If you are planning to rent a car, there are several car rental agencies located at the airport, and you can make reservations in advance online or by phone.  Also consider making your car rental reservation with your airline reservation; sometimes you can get good discounts by packaging them together.
