Video eClass: Fizzy Bath Bombs & Shower Steamers (7 Demo Videos + Class Handouts)

Company: The Nova Studio

Contact: Lori Nova Endres

Date & Time: Anytime

The Nova Studio

In my 18+ years of making & teaching Bath Fizzies, I've learned a lot. This eClass comes with 7 Demo Videos & Printable Class Handouts (my 55-page Fizzy eBook)... is the most extensive in my collection! It's super organized & easy to follow, with a hyperlinked Table of Contents to find topics quickly.

My goal in offering this Fizzies eClass is to share as much info & insight as I can about making Fizzies, to help you become an expert & make more successful batches. I don't believe in a “perfect recipe” for making Bath Fizzies. No one recipe will work for everyone, every time, in every season & every location. (This is very unlike making CP Soap or handmade Lotions & Creams.)

That said... once you to understand all the potential ingredients & influencing factors… all that YOU can control, I know you’ll be formulating your own recipes & creating unique tub-time treats in no time.

Ritual Waters ( Marilyn Schendel)

When was the last you were inspired to create something?
How about coming to my house and spend learning a new craft? I welcome you into my space and I will teach you about the process of making soap from scratch.

I have been teaching in-person classes again since May of this year. I am fully vaccinated but require you and me to be wearing masks to be safe. I am only doing one to three-person classes so you would be receiving extra attention.

I am retired so the class can happen on weekdays or the weekend. But you must contact me to schedule. More information on my website.
We will play with luscious oils and butters and of course colors and scents. You will leave with your creation of a 2lb batch of soap and lots of handouts.
Come and play and learn!
There will be a short demo and then each artist which means you, will make their own batch of soap from scratch including scenting with essential oils & coloring with herbal powders or clays or micas. We will discuss lye safety & ingredients & also how to make your own recipe.
The cost is $100.00 includes class, supplies & handouts.
You can register online on the classes page on our website but please call me before so we can schedule a class. You can call 336-403-1662 with questions.

I have paused for the holidays but will be offering classes starting in January.

Come and learn a new crafty passion and see where it leads you!

We are going to bless the waters and create healing sprays from the Gros Ventre and Snake rivers.  Students will create their energetic mists to help support themselves during times when they need extra support being in the  "loving flow" and experiencing the "steadiness" of river energy.

These mists can be used as smudging sprays or energy-creating sprays, meditation sprays, yoga mists and simply fragrant mists. Each student will create a custom essential oil and essence blend that energetically matches the water from the rivers, the Gros Ventre or the Snake. You will take home two of your very own custom spray mists: The Gros Ventre and the Snake.

We will discuss the sacred energy of both of these rivers and how they are very different, and yet alike. These rivers have come before us, so we will tune in and learn from its ancient wisdom. After the workshop you will work with your energetic mist and allow further wisdom to unfold.

Lotion Making Science Class

San Diego, CA

Date & Time: 06/26/2022 Noon-4:00 pm PT

A+ Soapmaking Studio

In this beginning-through-advanced Lotion Making Science class, take a scientific hands-on approach to learning different methods and techniques for making lotion. Students learn to make small, test batches of lotion and how to increase the recipe to make larger batches. Gain confidence by learning how a batch of lotion that has separated or gone wrong can always be salvaged. Understand the importance of emulsifiers and emulsification systems: what they are and how they work. Perform scientific test experiments to prove whether or not common lotion ingredients (such as lecithin, polysorbate, and stearic acid) act as emulsifiers. In this Lotion Making Science class, students compare 4 different emulsifiers in performance challenges to determine which emulsifiers cause soaping (white streaks during application), which emulsifiers are better for the face (non-comedogenic), which emulsifiers are water miscible (and better for use in hair conditioner), and which emulsifiers are considered natural ingredients (and widely accepted by modern consumers). This class also briefly covers labeling requirements, preservatives, and professional lab testing. Students receive 4 different lotions to take home. Attend in person or online.
