US Conference 2026

The 27th Annual HSCG Conference will be held at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Mystic, CT from April 13-16, 2026.

The Annual Conference is a four-day event, with registration starting on April 13th, 2026. HSCG’s Conference has a jam packed schedule tailored by handcrafted soap, cosmetic, and candle makers for makers.

Expect a vibrant four days with classes and presentations during the day and special events in the evening. The event kicks off with two networking meal events for breakfast and lunch to help attendees get aquatinted with each other and their surroundings (a gorgeous resort property). Then once the fun is almost over, the conference wraps up with the dynamic Closing Ceremonies, a fun celebratory event to complete your conference experience.

Breakfast and both morning and afternoon refreshments every day are provided. Lunch is included on two days, and dinner during the Closing Ceremonies. As with past conferences, the HSCG has negotiated special hotel rates for conference attendees. The link is available on this page

Topics and Speakers

The HSCG searches for expert speakers within the handcrafted soap, cosmetic, and candle industry as well as speakers with experience outside of the handcrafted circle. You can expect a diverse range of topics covering business and maker subjects at a beginner or advanced level to help you grow your business and expand your knowledge base at your own pace. Past conferences have featured topics like advanced formulation, website design, new product innovation, and more.

Certification

For members wishing to participate in the Certification Program, examinations are scheduled at several times during the Annual Conference for your convenience. 

Who can attend?

Conference attendance is open to Members and non-members of the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild. Members receive a substantial discount on the registration fee, which includes attendance to the Experts Panels, speaker sessions, meals, the Makers' Showcase (optional), special events, goodies, and more. 

Registration

Registration for the 2026 conference is open. Due to space limitations, the number of attendees is limited and is likely to sell out as it has in past conferences. Make sure to register early so you can take advantage of early-bird discounts and join us in Mystic, CT!

Registration DOES NOT include:

• Guestrooms at the Mohegan Sun Resort (attendees are entitled to a discounted room rate).
• Ground transportation to and from the hotel.
• Any meals outside of those outlined in the conference schedule.

Registration Fees and Deadlines

Guests

If you want to bring a guest with you who won't be attending the conference but joins you for meals, you may purchase a guest meal ticket. The cost is $399 and covers all meals, the Awards Dinner and any special parties.Purchase Guest Meal Ticket

Associates

An HSCG member may bring up to four associates (family members, business partners, staff, etc.) under his/her member number and take advantage of the member rate for the associates.

Exhibitors

Exhibitor space is available for vendors and suppliers who offer products and/or services to the industry. Throughout the conference, plenty of time is set aside for attendees to visit the Exhibitor Hall. HSCG Vendor members are entitled to a significant discount on exhibitor space.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The HSCG will not provide refunds or accept sales/transfer of tickets for the 2026 Annual Conference. The HSCG is participating in an event registration refund program through RainProtection.

If you purchased your registration before August 14, 2025 at 4:00 pm EST, you have been automatically enrolled in this protection. You can find more information here.

If you purchased after August 14, 2025 at 4:00 pm EST, RainProtection is not included in your registration fee; it was available for an additional fee. If not enrolled, you will not be eligible for a refund through the HSCG.

The HSCG does not allow the sale or transfer of registrations. If you are enrolled in RainProtection, please contact them directly to see if you qualify for a refund. Registrations will only be honored for the person for whom they were purchased.
