NOTE: HSCG Hurricane Assistance Program 2017 is open to all
soap and cosmetic handcrafters; it doesn't matter if you are a member of the HSCG or not.
In the ongoing aftermath of the back-to-back hurricanes this year - Harvey, Irma and Maria - HSCG wants to help soap and cosmetic handcrafters get
back on their feet and back in business.
In thinking over the possible ways to assist soap and cosmetic handcrafter affected by the storms, we decided the best way would be
to help these businesses restock some of the supplies they use to make product. There are many organizations seeing to food, water
and basic survival needs; we felt it was our responsibility to see to business needs. The fastest way for people to get back on
their feet is to give them the ability to help themselves through their businesses while they engage in the long,
slow process of their homes being restored.
Therefore, with the help of many of our Vendor Members and even some non-member vendors, we now have this program
to provide assistance to handcrafted soap and cosmetic makers who have lost equipment or supplies
as a result of Hurricanes Harvey or Irma. Assistance will be provided in the form of gift certificates
which have been generously provided by suppliers who have opted to partner with us in this program.
To apply, please download, print and complete the
Hurricane Assistance Application Form. The information in the application form will be
used to pinpoint which of the available supplies are best suited to your needs.
Once you have completed the application form, email it to the Niki Cameron
or fax it to the HSCG office at (518) 306-6935. Questions about the program should be directed to Niki.
