A Mandatory Activity

A Mandatory Activity is a soap and candle company and DIY craft blog, operating out of Maryland. My products typically involve some form of puns or word play (including my company name!)

My focus is on baking and crafting for gatherings and gifts.  I like to provide options for DIYers to create their own fun and unique gifts.  For those who are not DIYers, my shop provides fun and unique gift purchasing options instead!  

I create the kind of products that I want to gift to my loved ones, or use in my own home.  That is, in fact, how my business was born...a friend wanted one for a friend who wanted one for a friend, etc.  So now I just make a lot of extra items for any "friends" who need them.  I get immense joy from both creating, and helping people create, so this company blend is truly my happy place.
