In 1997 I co-founded a boutique clay/design studio with my soon-to-be husband. We designed and created handmade, hand painted tile and ceramics for over twelve years. Getting dirty was part of our job and I developed a love for handmade soaps during that time. The transition into making soap was organic, the process is surprisingly similar to working with clay, even utilizing some of the same ingredients such as kaolin and bentonite (two types of clays with skin beneficial qualities). After many life changes, soap has remained a constant and is now my primary creative outlet. I have since expanded into other skin care creations I am personally passionate about. As a lifetime consumer of beauty products, I am thrilled to take matters into my own hands and make everything from scratch using ingredients I have personally sourced.
