Plumeria is based out of Grand Island, NY and we create luxury, natural bath products by hand. Our company was built with simplicity in mind. We take simple, high quality ingredients and hand craft them into bath products that look like art and smell amazing. Plumeria specializes in bath bombs, soaps, lotions, and creams that contain no harsh chemicals or preservatives found in most over the counter bath products.

History of Plumeria

When you have an obsession for bath products, it only makes sense to start your own line…and that is exactly what owner and founder, Cindy Inman did. In 2013, Cindy was ready to make a change after working in marketing for years. With the support of her husband and family, Cindy started making bath bombs (some disguised in the shape of cupcakes) in her kitchen!

After mastering her bath bomb recipe she moved on to handmade soaps. Plumeria was first introduced to the public at a local craft show where the products were met with an overwhelming response. Seeing she was on to something, Cindy continued to grow her product line by creating lotions, sugar scrubs, whips, candles and more.

Plumeria products were very well received by the local community. The more people that used them, the more people that loved them. Social media became a catalyst for driving growth. As new products were perfected, Plumeria would introduce them on social media and the demand continued to increase.

Seven months into business, Plumeria started working with their first direct sales consultant. Cindy actually had someone come to her and say “I want to sell Plumeria” and Plum Girls were born. By this time Plumeria had taken over the Inman’s house! What started as a home-based business had quickly evolved into a larger operation that needed its own space. So, by November 2014, Plumeria moved into a new home, which now serves as its flagship retail location and production facility.

Today, Plumeria has a retail location in Grand Island, New York, Plum Girls across the country and business partners that retail Plumeria products in their own stores. Cindy functions as the CEO and her daughter CayLeigh is her right-hand in the business.

Dirty Unicorn was founded in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic when Baz, the Dirtiest of Unicorns, found his travel agency suddenly… not going anywhere… 

In a desire to express himself in a new manner (and suddenly WAY too much time on his hands) he began soaping. In a short time he found that not only was the process both soothing and satisfying but his concoctions and experimentations brought joy to people around him. 

A short while later, after a chance meeting he joined MADE Mercantile in beautiful downtown Woodstock, GA where his products quickly became a community staple. After gaining momentum he was soon joined by his Husbicorn, Stoney and the two of them have been making all the things that make life wonderful since. 

Most recently, Baz has had the honor of being dubbed "one of the nation's finest Makers" by becoming a featured competitor on Meet Your Makers Showdown hosted by Crissy Metz, LeAnne Rimes, and Mark Mantano streaming only on discovery+.

twig leaf flower is an organic vegan gluten free aromatherapy and herbal tea company founded in Dallas, PA by Rebecca Nicely. It all began with a dream to offer a naturally beautiful, handmade collection of organic essential oil and herbal products without sacrificing efficacy. Rebecca draws on her history as a hereditary herbalist, clinical aromatherapist, yoga teacher and musician to create and continually develop twig leaf flower. Inspired by her herbalist grandmothers and great grandmothers, Rebecca keeps her roots deeply grounded in the earth with a holistic philosophy and belief in the amazing healing powers of plants.

Batholith Soaps was started with the intention to combine a love of geology with a love of creating. I use my background in geology to inspire my soap designs, as well as provide an opportunity to create a unique teaching tool. I have taken the pledge to reduce my plastic use and as such, my packaging is largely free of plastic (I am still looking for a good alternative to tape) and made from recycled materials.

Started pouring soap in empty sneaker boxes lined with plastic back in 1999 in the High Desert of New Mexico. Now pouring 1000 lbs per session. I cut them down and do everything else including shipping them out. Only helper is a labeler who comes in a couple times a month to get them dressed up for their new homes. Big six ounce bars with unique colors and 14 flavors that proved themselves over the 3 dozen or more that I labeled up as part of the lineup over the last 25 years. I love every aspect of a soap career and plan to continue until I 80 years old.....maybe longer.

Hi! We’re Brian and Leah, a newlywed couple who embarked on a journey to create something truly special together. In August 2024, we started our small-batch soap business, making products for friends, family, and coworkers. The overwhelmingly positive feedback encouraged us to expand quickly, and before we knew it, we were selling at local farmers markets. Now, we’re focusing on expanding our reach with in-store products, an online website, and social media to connect with even more people. What started with cold process soap quickly blossomed into lotions, balms, shampoo and conditioner bars, body butters, and more. Leah has taken the lead in creating these thoughtful, limited-ingredient recipes, each one designed with purpose and care. Brian has also developed his own popular line of men's beard products, balms, and oils. Previously, Brian was mostly unsatisfied with the conditioning ability and overpowering scent in most beard products. The Bald Guy's beard product line provides an alternative that is highly conditioning and nourishing with a more subtle scent that will not overpower you.

Our mission behind this business is simple: we wanted to live a more self-sourced, sustainable life. By making products like soap, lotion, lip balm, laundry detergent, and toothpaste ourselves, we’re able to control what goes into our bodies and avoid the unnecessary fillers and chemicals found in most store-bought items. This journey is our first step toward living a life untethered from consumerism and unhealthy big-brand products. Looking ahead, we’re excited to transition to a homestead in Maine, where our soap and skincare business will be just one of several revenue streams we maintain as we live off the land. Having lived both in town and out in the woods in a cabin without running water or electricity we learned to make do with many things we have on hand and to reuse as many items as we could. Reclaiming wood and other materials is just as much of a passion of ours as is encouraging others around us.

NOTE: while almost all of our ingredients are organic and could fit under organic labeling, we will not make that claim as many others do. Truth is to be labeled organic, products need to go through a lot of legal hoops and many people do not know that they are really not supposed to use the term on their labels. Also, “organic” is over used and misleading in marketing today and we will not be going through certification to claim our soap is organic, which is the proper thing to do for labeling. That said, we do use all or close to all certified organic ingredients and at the very least use non-GMO for those one or two items we can not find or afford to pay for certified organic.

We try our best to buy from USA companies and when it is not possible to do so we believe strongly in using fair trade companies where possible with sourcing some of our ingredients and packaging.

We support organizations like Compassion International, Voice of the Martyrs, and OpenDoors with part of our profits and time volunteering. Because of Trish’s involvement with Voice of the Martyrs we are very aware of human conditions, both work and religious freedoms, around the world and strive to make sure that we are not contributing to the horrors of poor working conditions and underpaid or slave labor both in our home purchases as well as for the business.
