Mater Soap offers a variety of cold-process bar soaps. Keeping our batches small and handmade, we strive to perfect the simple yet subtle alchemy of soap-making. Our appreciation for the minimalist beauty of traditional bar soap deeply informs our craft. Using 100% natural, sustainably-sourced plant ingredients like smoky pine tar, rose-colored kaolin clay, and salty sea plants, we provide the bather with a bar of soap that not only looks good, but smells and feels great, too. Founded by Addison Walz and Sarah Heslip in Red Hook, Brooklyn, Mater Soap is the union of knowledge from their respective fields of textile design, natural dyes and pigments and Chinese herbal medicine.
