HSCG Membership Reward Program
The HSCG Membership Reward Program has been upgraded to include new ways to earn HSCG Reward Points. You can now earn Reward Points by referring other members, renewing your own membership, reaching membership milestones, and more!
Each HSCG Reward Point is worth $1 and can be redeemed in the HSCG Store toward any online purchase, including membership dues and conference registration. Simply apply your points during checkout.
Ways to Earn HSCG Reward Points
Join & Renewals
- Current members at the Novice, Professional or Retired level who renew on or before their expiration date will receive $5 in HSCG Rewards upon each renewal.
- New HSCG Members at the Novice, Professional or Retired level who have never been HSCG Members will receive an introductory reward of $5.
Referrals
- Current HSCG Members earn $5 in HSCG Rewards for each referred Novice, Professional, Retired or Private Label member.
- Current HSCG Members earn $10 in HSCG Rewards when referring a Supplier member.
Facebook Group Membership
- HSCG Members who are part of the HSCG Members’ Discussion Group on Facebook will receive a one-time $5 HSCG Reward bonus. This reward is granted only once, even if your membership expires and you later renew and rejoin the group.
Other Ways to Earn
- Membership Milestones: When current members reach a membership milestone (5, 10, 15, 20 years, and every 5 years after that), they receive the HSCG Reward amount for that milestone (see below).
- Certification: Current members who take and pass a certification exam receive $10 in HSCG Rewards each time they pass.
- Conference: Current members who sign up for the conference receive $10 in HSCG Rewards.
Membership Milestone Rewards
Longevity matters. When your continuous membership reaches one of these milestones, the reward is added to your account automatically. Every 5 year milestone after 20 years earns the same reward as the 20 year milestone.

How to Refer a New Member
There are three ways to refer new members and earn HSCG Reward Points:
- Referral Link: Each member is assigned a unique link that can be shared with prospective members. When they use that link to register, you automatically get credit. Find your referral link in your Member Profile.
- Referral Code: Each member also receives a unique code. If a new member enters that code in the “Who referred you?” box when checking out, you get credit for the referral. If you have multiple memberships (for example, Handcrafter and Supplier), you’ll have a code for each, and either will work.
- By Your Name: If a new member lists your first and last name or the name of your business when they sign up, you’ll get credit.
A valid referral is someone who has not been a member of the HSCG within the last year.
Using Your HSCG Reward Points
- HSCG Reward Points do not expire while your membership is current.
- If your membership does expire, you keep your Reward Points for a further one year and can still spend them. We’ll email you a month before they run out.
- Redeem your points in the HSCG Store toward any purchase, including membership dues and conference registration. You’ll be able to apply them during checkout.
- You can track how many HSCG Reward Points you have, and what they were awarded for, in your Member Profile.
- Reward Points are non-transferable. If a Professional Member sells their business to another maker, the points stay with the business, which holds the Professional Membership.
- Associate Members are not eligible to accrue Reward Points.
