2026 Conference Update

The HSCG Annual Conference has been held almost every year for the last 28 years. As a non-profit trade association representing the handcrafted soap, cosmetic and candle industry, the Annual Conference has been our way to bring like-minded people together for an immersive networking and learning experience. The event has evolved and grown over the years, but it has remained a very inviting and nurturing environment for makers and entrepreneurs. The HSCG has always strived to keep the conference affordable without sacrificing the quality that participants have come to expect.

Right now, small businesses are struggling under the chaos and uncertainty of the current economic climate. Never before have we heard from so many companies about their ongoing challenges. We are always observant and make adjustments when needed to further benefit our members. We’re aware of the hardships many are facing, and we are aligning our focus accordingly.

Therefore, because of factors outside of the association's and the industry’s control, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Annual Conference, which was set to take place in Mystic, CT, on April 13-16, 2026 at Mohegan Sun Resort.

We share your disappointment, and we are confident that the HSCG will be able to resume the Annual Conference in the near future, at a time that will be most beneficial to attendees and vendors. We deeply value the time spent in-person with makers at our events, and when the time is right, we’ll be back together, celebrating our industry as only makers can.

At the HSCG, we always have an eye to the future. All of our staff resources will be dedicated to improving our member benefits and services in order to be the best possible partner to meet the challenges of this unique time. We have many new programs and services coming soon that we are thrilled to share with you in the coming months.

All attendees will be given a full refund of their registration fees. We will have more information about the refund process next week, and will send the update via eNews to registered participants.

Thanks to your continued support of the HSCG, our association is strong. We will remain steadfast in our commitment to be of service to both the membership and the industry. We look forward to bringing all of the magic planned for the 2026 Annual Conference to a future event and cannot wait to see you there!
